Jeff Loveness, a writer and co-producer on “Rick and Morty,” has been tapped to pen the script for the third installment of “Ant-Man” at Marvel Studios.
Peyton Reed is once again back as director with Paul Rudd expected to return as Scott Lang. Loveness’ deal is said to have happened last month and so he has already commenced writing.
Marvel has yet to publicly announce the project and so it’s unclear when the film would shoot, especially as the coronavirus pandemic has delayed the shoots for “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and “Thor: Love and Thunder”.
The news comes as Disney reshuffled the release dates of its movie slate, including almost all of Marvel films for Phase 4 being pushed back by one position from their previous dates.
