Batman: The Animated Series
Raf Grassetti, the art director of PlayStation’s celebrated “God of War” video game, has in recent times become famous for his artwork inspired by characters from various franchises – Marvel Comics, Super Mario, Star Fox, etc.
Recently though, he’s turned his attention towards the beloved and critically acclaimed 1990s “Batman: The Animated Series” and delivered some stunning artwork based heavily on the original designs of the show with the art showcasing classic villains like The Joker, Harley Quinn, Two-Face, Scarecrow, Bane, Killer Croc, Penguin, Man-Bat, Clayface and the Phantasm. Adult Swim has announced that they have made the entire five-season series run of “Samurai Jack” available on both their app and their website at Adultswim.com, and no account is needed to watch (though it is geo-locked to the U.S. only). The iconic, experimental, auteur-driven animated series about a samurai (Phil LaMarr) flung through time by an evil overlord was created by the legendary Genndy Tartakovsky. [Source: Adult Swim]
The Johnny Carson Show
Shout Factory TV has announced it will be streaming episodes of the iconic “The Johnny Carson Show”. The company will curate the best episodes across the three decade run and is planning to release the episode collections in themed groups. The first collection of episodes will debut in April followed by grouping entitled The Best of Carnac the Magnificent, The Best of George Carlin and Animal Antics with Joan Embery and Jim Fowler. Penny Dreadful: City of Angels
Showtime has released a new featurette for the upcoming “Penny Dreadful: City of Angels” spin-off series. Set in 1938 Los Angeles, Natalie Dormer plays a supernatural demon who can change her appearance every time she wants to and the new clip explores the various faces she will show in the story. The series debuts on Sunday, April 26th.
